The Cheesecake Factory
The Cheesecake Factory….If not already famous, this restaurant should be. Being from Waterloo, the closest one is at the Walden Galleria, Buffalo. I actually came across the restaurant by accident after a day of shopping. I mean…who wouldn’t be intrigued by a cheesecake factory! After I got over the fact that it wasn’t really a factory making cheesecakes, I started to take in the wonderful décor they had. I later found out not all Cheesecake Factorys are dressed as fancy as the Walden Galleria location. Its kind of hard to describe how the place looks. It’s like whoever designed the layout decided to throw in anything that slightly resembled an Egyptian pyramid, and dimmed the lights low (perhaps even a little too low). The medium sized restaurant was filled with giant columns with faces and colorful flower paintings all around them. The lights emit an orange glow, which match the orange paint. Somehow you get the sense that the restaurant is a little too nice for a generic restaurant chain, and you start to wonder if its overcompensating for lack of good food
